State Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Claymont Gas Station

The Delaware State Police is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Thursday morning at a Claymont gas station.
On August 13, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., troopers responded to Wawa, located at 601 Naamans Road in Claymont, for a report of an armed robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed that four masked suspects, two of whom were armed with handguns, approached two victims while they were fueling their vehicle. The suspects demanded the victims’ property, and they complied. Afterward, the suspects ran away. The victims were not injured during the incident.
The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigations Unit took over the case. Detectives ask anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Detective D. Armstrong at (302) 365-8440.
